These are the most common questions I get asked.

 

Do you film using a high quality camera format?

Yes, I use professional Panasonic digital equipment shooting in Full High Definition format, and use the Final Cut Pro X professional edit suite for post production.

 

 

Will I have my wedding put to DVD or Blu Ray or 4K format?

The popular choice at the moment is to have your film presented in the highest quality possible so we provide the finished film on a USB memory stick, you can also choose our popular DVD format.

 

 

What background music accompanies my wedding film?

I use music and songs that you have chosen or I can select appropriate music for you if you prefer. I assume you have cleared any copyright or we can arrange a blanket fee coverage.

 

How long will our film be?

The length of your Wedding Film will depend on which package you go for, I have estimated the different lengths on my Prices & Packages page. Some wedding films run longer than others for example, Church ceremonies run traditionally longer than Civil Ceremonies which can sometimes make the final film longer than initally estimated. My aim is to always squeeze in everything and a little bit more so that whatever package you choose, you have all the special highlights and memories from your day included.

 

 

Which areas do you cover?

I currently only film exclusively within Essex and Suffolk however if you are just outside of these areas I would definitely consider your enquiry, just ask!

 

 

Will you be unobtrusive when filming?

With over 10 years of video production experience it is my aim to be as unobtrusive as possible, it is also important that I capture the special key moments naturally as they happen, without it looking staged or performed in any way which in my experience can look a bit cheesy and contrived. I pride myself on this which has lead to fantastic relationships with every other service provider on the day such as vicars, venues, photographers, etc; as it enables the day to flow naturally.

 

 

What parts of the day do you cover?

I offer a bespoke service that generally starts from the Bride getting ready all the way through until the end of the first dance or at the latest 9pm. However if you require me to start any earlier or stay any later just ask before your big day, I will be as accommodating as possible, after all its your day!

  

 

Can I change the options after I have booked and placed a deposit?

Of course, you can change the options, up to two weeks before your wedding day.

 

 

How many other weddings will you film on my day?

When you book with Hitched, the day is 100% yours. 

 

 

How long do we have to wait until we see the finished Wedding Film?

Most couples get their finished version within 12 - 16 weeks. However during particularly busy months it may take longer. I am always happy to give you updates sneak peeks and stills during the editing process.

I do offer an online Wedding Trailer as part of our Platinum Package that you get sent 2/3 weeks after your Wedding that offers a sneak peek at what your film will look like.

   

 

How many cameras do the wedding filming company use?

I employ techniques to give the impression I have used multiple cameras when filming, but if you need more than one camera on the day, we can organise this for you. An extra camera and operator or a static camera can be easily added.

 

 

What happens in the unlikely event you cannot attend our wedding?

 In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend your wedding I will make every effort with your approval to find a replacement videographer for you. And in the unlikely event that I need to cancel your booking we will refund any monies paid.  For peace of mind I haven't let a couple down yet!

 

 

Are you insured?

Yes.  I am insured by a photographic and video specialist insurance company that provide public liability, equipment and professional indemnity cover.  If you require confirmation of this (some venues like to see a certificate) just ask and I can send you a copy for evidence.   

 

 

How can we pay you?

You can pay a deposit or balance by cash, cheque, or by bank transfer.

 

 

How can I guarantee I can book you?

I often get booked up 2 years in advance so confirming your booking as soon as possible is recommended.  As soon as your Booking Form and Deposit is received and your package is agreed then your date will be guaranteed with me.

 

 

How do I make a booking?

There are several ways to book, all of which require the Booking Form to be completed. The Booking Form is below.  I also require a booking deposit of £100 which can be paid by cheque or bank transfer (details available on request) and this will be deducted from the total cost of your package.

 

 

What happens if I have to cancel my booking with you?

Please send us written notification that you would like to cancel your booking and I will then confirm your cancellation. Depending on when you cancel you will be liable for the following charges which are calculated as a percentage of your remaining balance: 30 days before wedding day = 90%, 31-60 days before wedding day = 70%, 61-90 days before wedding day = 50% and 91 or more days before wedding day = 30%. The deposit is non refundable.
